Workshop Structure – 4-Hour Course (Theory + Hands-On):

1. Introduction & Ultrasound Fundamentals – Learn & Scan (60 min)
   Goal: Understand ultrasound principles and facial anatomy layers
   20 min: Basics of ultrasound handling
   Transducer types, image optimization, scanning planes
   Recognition of anatomical layers: skin, fat, fascia, muscle
   40 min: Guided scanning session
   Hands-on practice: identify skin layers, SMAS, vessels, filler, fibrosis
   Supervised exploration in pairs
2. Muscle Mapping for Botulinum Toxin – Visualize & Plan (60 min)
   Goal: Identify relevant muscles for safe and effective botulinum toxin treatment
   20 min: Anatomical review + ultrasound guidance
   Frontalis, corrugator, orbicularis oculi, DAO, DLI, masseter, mentalis
   40 min: Interactive hands-on mapping
   Participants scan and mark injection zones on their own or peers’ faces
   Tips on safe depths, doses, and patient selection
3. Facial Vascular Mapping & Doppler Use – Know the Zones (60 min)
   Goal: Master vascular safety with ultrasound and Doppler interpretation
   20 min: Critical arteries and danger zones
   Labial, angular, infraorbital, supratrochlear, temporal arteries
   40 min: Doppler session
   Learn to identify flow, detect inflammation, assess “burning lips” or prior complications
   Practice interpreting hypoperfusion, hyperemia, or scarring
4. Ultrasound-Guided Techniques – Injection & Dissolving (50 min)
   Goal: See ultrasound guidance in action for safer aesthetic procedures
   20 min: Theory of guided injection
   When to use ultrasound, probe positioning, sterile prep, needle angle
   30 min: Live demonstration
   On phantom or volunteer: simulate hyaluronidase injection or toxin in complex zones
5. Case Discussion + Open Scanning Lab (40 min)
   Goal: Apply knowledge to real clinical scenarios and consolidate scanning skills
   20 min: Interactive case review
   Real patient images (e.g., filler complications, nodules, fibrosis)
   Diagnostic challenges and guided solutions
   20 min: Hands-on free scanning
   Participants revisit structures under supervision
   One-on-one troubleshooting and technique refinement
